Tracey Welson-Rossman

A savvy entrepreneur, business leader and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, Tracey owned and operated her first business in 1996 when she purchased the fledgling KangaKab transportation service. Four years later, with revenues topping $2.5 million, she sold the company and joined accounting software company Skylight Systems as Director of Sales and Marketing. In the years that followed, Tracey became an integral part of the burgeoning Philadelphia tech scene as a founding member of Philadelphia Startup Leaders, a regional organization dedicated to growing technology startup businesses.

In 2002, Tracey was one of the founding members of the Philadelphia region’s top IT consulting firm Chariot Solutions as Chief Marketing Officer, where she is responsible for branding, marketing and managing the sales team. As part of her role at Chariot Solutions, Tracey is the founder and current chair of the annual Emerging Technologies for the Enterprise Conference (ETE), which attracts world-renowned though leaders in cutting-edge technologies and serves as a community forum for regional technology companies.

Concurrently, Tracey founded TechGirlz in 2009, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping adolescent girls understand that a future in technology does not necessarily equate to a “boring computer job,” but instead transcends the cubicle into nearly every field imaginable. Over the past four years, TechGirlz has held over 50 workshops and reached over 5,000 girls. She is also the co-founder of the Women in Tech Summit, which is now in four cities and helps fund TechGirlz.

Tracey was honored as one of the “40 Women to Watch Over 40”. She is also a board member for the Economy League of Philadelphia and Creating IT Futures. She is a member of the Forum of Women Executives.
